Terms of Service

By accessing or using FinAI (“the Service”), operated at finai.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.

The Service provides a household financial projection tool that allows users to model retirement scenarios, run Monte Carlo simulations, compare strategies, and generate educational insights about their financial trajectory. The Service is available in free and paid tiers.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
• You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.

• Paid plans are billed monthly or as a one-time payment (Lifetime plan) through Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• We offer a 30-day refund policy for annual and lifetime plans. Monthly plans are non-refundable after each billing cycle begins.
• Lifetime Plan:The “Lifetime” plan grants access to the Service for the lifetime of the Service’s operation, not the lifetime of the purchaser. “Lifetime” means for as long as FinAI continues to operate and offer the Service. If the Service is permanently discontinued, lifetime plan holders will receive at least 90 days’ advance notice and will be able to export all of their data before shutdown. No refunds, whether full or prorated, will be issued for lifetime plans upon discontinuation of the Service after the 30-day refund window has passed.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days’ notice to existing subscribers.
• Free tier users may be subject to usage limits that may change over time.

The Service uses artificial intelligence (AI) to power certain features, including the “Ask FinAI” analysis feature, insight generation, and content recommendations. AI outputs are generated by third-party large language models and may contain inaccuracies, errors, or hallucinations. AI features are not a substitute for professional financial advice. You are solely responsible for verifying any AI-generated information before acting on it. For full details, see our AI Disclaimer.

The projections generated by the Service are estimates based on the inputs you provide and assumptions about future conditions (market returns, inflation, tax rates, etc.). These projections are inherently uncertain and should be treated as educational illustrations, not predictions.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the accuracy of our calculations, but we do not warrant that projections will be error-free or that they will match actual financial outcomes. Tax calculations are simplified and may not account for all deductions, credits, or state-specific rules.

You retain ownership of all financial data you enter into the Service. We use your data solely to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may export or delete your data at any time.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service.
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Service without permission.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Resell or redistribute the Service without written authorization.

The Service, including its design, code, algorithms, and content, is owned by FinAI and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes under these terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FinAI and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or financial losses arising from:

• Your use of or reliance on projections, calculations, or any output of the Service.
• Investment, retirement, tax, or other financial decisions made based on the Service.
• Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in projections or calculations.
• Service interruptions, data loss, or security breaches.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FinAI and its operators from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party’s rights.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
